How to Make Chia Pudding
Chia pudding is a super quick and easy recipe (seriously, it doesn’t get much easier!) and it’s something you can eat as a healthy breakfast OR as a sweet treat.
Chia seeds have become really popular in recent years because they’re known for being a “super food”. They’re full of nutrients, protein, fiber, and other things essential for your body. They contain vitamins and minerals like magnesium, calcium, and potassium as well as being really high in antioxidants. They’re good for your heart, your skin, your bones, your muscles, and even more! (Source)
What you need:
- 1/4 cup chia seeds (white or black!)
- 1 cup of non dairy milk (we used vanilla almond milk and chocolate cashew milk)
- 1 tablespoon of maple syrup
- 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
- Mason Jar (or another container to keep it in overnight)
Mix all of your ingredients for chia pudding together and put in the fridge overnight.
You can mix them in the container you’re going to keep them in, or mix it in a different bowl and transfer it over, like I did.
The next morning garnish it with fruit of your choice and enjoy!
This recipe makes the chia pudding a little bit runny, if you would prefer for yours to be a little thicker you can always add more chia seeds or less non-dairy milk! After you’ve tried it once you can tweak the recipe for your liking. We found that the chocolate cashew milk chia pudding was much better than the unsweetened vanilla almond milk chia pudding (although they were both very good!). It depends on your preferences but I definitely recommend trying different kinds of milk, different kinds of fruit garnishes, and so on! I hope you enjoy! Let me know if you try it and what you think!
